Date field – HTML5 fallback – monthly Calendar display

I need to ask for the birthday of the user in my form.

I’ve used the “date” field and the HTML5 fallback solution as described at https://contactform7.com/faq/does-contact-form-7-support-html5-input-types/ .

My default browser is Safari and it obviously doesn’t support “date” in HTML5 which means it uses the fallback solution.
The fallback however displays a calendar where I can only move from month to month (arrow left or right), not in years. Which means if some older user wants to submit a birthday he has to click the “month back arrow” hundreds of times until he reaches his birthday.

Does anybody know of a solution to this problem?
