Date Field autofills when marked required

  • I’ve been using the plugin for a few years with no problems (great plugin btw thank you!)but since updating to WordPress 4.2.4 the date fields in my form ( I have two ) are auto-filling with 12/12/1899. As these are required fields it means I’m getting a lot of unusable info through. Is there a way to prevent this happening please?
    Also did you ever get any further with incorporating a datepicker option into the plugin, you mentioned it a couple of years ago?

    The plugin doesn’t do any autofilling, but I would check to make sure those date fields do not have default values set.

    The datepicker, like many other planned improvements to the plugin, keep getting pushed to the future because I haven’t had a break from several projects I’m involved in. I’ve has to devote all my plugin time to killing bugs, unfortunately.
