Date… FEB instead of FEBUARY

  • Hey

    I know how to output the date:

    <?php the_time(‘l, F jS, Y’) ?>

    e.g. for the just the month I would use:

    <?php the_time(‘F’) ?>

    But does anyone know how to shorten the months, as I dont have much room for it in full.

    e.g. December shortened to DEC
