    Hi @sophiebennett,

    Thanks for reaching out!

These are only deprecation notices that show up with the PHP versions we are not fully compatible with yet. However, they shouldn’t affect functionality.

Could you please go ahead and check if the Block Editor is enabled in settings? (wp-admin > Events > Settings > General > Editing > Activate Block Editor for Events). If it is please make sure to disable it for Classic Editor to work as expected.

Please also share the following with us:

    • Versions of our plugins that you are using.
    • PHP and WordPress versions.

Please don’t share your system information or log in credentials.

If you would like to learn more about our PHP compatibility please check out this article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/php-8-support-2/

    Best,

    Hi @sophiebennett

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having this issue. Let me help you with this one.

Could you try checking the Screen Options if The Events Calendar is checked?

    See- https://share.zight.com/WnupZl27

If that doesn’t help, does the issue persist when you create a new event or do you only encounter this issue on this specific event (in your screenshot)?

Moreover, please provide the version of the following. This will help me understand how your system is set up.

    • PHP
    • WordPress
    • The Events Calendar
    • Theme

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hi?@sophiebennett

Thanks for sharing that with us!

The first screenshot you shared shows the options in wp-admin > Events.

However, Darian was referring to the Screen options that can be found in wp-admin > Events > Add new > Screen Options. You will be able to find The Events Calendar option there. Please make sure it’s checked.

Regarding the screenshot you shared under number 5, you have to make sure this option is unchecked. If the field for Block Editor is checked and you are using Classic Editor this can cause conflicts when adding your events.

Please let us know how it goes.

    Best,
    Iris

    Hi Iris,

    Thank you for your reply.

Yes, you are right. The issue was in enabled Gutenberg editor.

    Now the issue is fixed.

    Have a good day!
