DataTables Buttons not working

    Hi Tobias,

    I’ve been trying to get DataTables Buttons working without any luck. I’ve read all the postings on the Support Forum and checked the suggestions there and everything seems good.

    The only thing that I could think of that might be causing a problem is WP Google Maps which is on every page.

    The link above is the page I’ve been working with to test. But, it currently doesn’t have the change to the correct Shortcode in it for the DataTables Buttons.

    Could it be that WP Google Maps is causing a problem?

    Hi Ted,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    It might indeed be that maps plugin that is causing these problems. From what I can see, it’s also loading and using the DataTables JS library.
    Can you therefore test again after temporarily deactivating that plugin?

    DUH! Now, why didn’t I think to try that before writing you!

    And, yes removing the WP Google Maps short code allowed the DataTables Buttons short code to work.

    Is there any fix for this?

    Hi Ted,

    unfortunately, I can’t see an easy fix here ??
    As long as both plugins load their JS files on the same page, this seems to collide.
    Now, I wonder why a Maps plugin needs JS features for a table though… Can you maybe turn these of somewhere, so that the Maps plugin doesn’t load the JS file?

    Hi Tobias,

    I’ve looked at the options that are available to me with the map plugin and don’t see anything. I’ll contact the WP Google Maps people and see what they have to say.
