• Hello,
I just went to update one of my websites to the newest version of WordPress and am now stuck on the “Database update required” screen… When I click “Update WordPress Database” it just refreshes the page and doesn’t go anywhere.. This website is for a client so I’m worried!
    Any advice is much appreciated.
    Thank you.
    Tamara

If you’re using a server-level or DNS-level cache, you’ll need to flush it, especially Memcached/APC stuff. They can be sticky. This includes Cloudflare and Pagespeed and Varnish. Anything that caches.

If you don’t have shell access to flush those (with the except of Cloudflare which is done at their site), you’ll need to ask the hosting the hosting provider.

I also have this issue, have tried a few ‘fixes’ but nothing has worked. Cache has been flushed, server has been rebooted and still stuck at the update screen.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers.
