I deactivated and deleted the plugin but tables still remain in the database – they are prefixed by wpftsi_ There are 13 such tables. These really should be deleted within plugin deletion! Is it safe to manually delete these?

    Hi @sadhaka

Yes, absolutely. You can manually remove “wpftsi_*” tables, those are only used by WPFTS.
To be sure here is a list of all tables
    wpftsi_docs
    wpftsi_ilog
    wpftsi_index
    wpftsi_map
    wpftsi_qlog
    wpftsi_queue
    wpftsi_rawcache
    wpftsi_stops
    wpftsi_tp
    wpftsi_tw
    wpftsi_vc
    wpftsi_vectors
    wpftsi_words

The automatic DB tables deletion is not implemented since users often want to disable or remove WPFTS temporarily, just to upload new version.

    Thank you.

Thanks. (That should be an option IMHO)
