Database size wp_statistics_visitor and 504 db error on cleanup

    My site needs periodic rebooting because of a bogged down database, and in the optimization section of wp_statistics (and through phpmyadmin) I see that my wp_statistics_visitor is massive, with 2,282,127. My overall memory usage for wp_statistics is Memory usage in PHP: 99,696,800 Bytes … seems like a lot!

    When I try to “repair” and “optimize” this particular table, I get a 504 error (phpmyadmin).

    Is there any way I can get this cleaned up and/or repaired without losing my data?

    I am using Version 12.6.9, and WordPress version 5.2.3 (the latest of each).
