Database size discrepency

    First time using this plugin to backup, just trying to understand how it works.

    Once activated it says “Backup my 3 MB database on the 17th of each month…” The backup was only 630kb though. (“Type: Database”)

    When I added the files inclusion, it said 83mb, but the backup was only 49mb.

    I don’t understand the differences here…

    Hey Chris,

    It’s because the backup is compressed as a zip so it’s smaller than the actual size of the Database & Files. It’s common for a database to compress 10X or more when zipped up.
