Database Recovery

    Hi,

    I recently had my laptop stolen, with wordpress set up on it. I have a complete copy of the the installation, but no copy of the database. Is there any way to recover it?

    Did you have WP locally installed on your laptop, or did you have files on your laptop and WP on a webserver? In the last case, there’s no problem.

    I had it installed locally, nothing was on a web server. I do have a full backup copy of the WP install though. I am hoping there is some way to get the DB from there, but I have a feeling I won’t be able to.

    Well, the database is something wholly different from the actual PHP files. I hope (for you) that you have a database backup and a copy of all files.
