Yesterday I was at a computer lab, trying to get my ‘upload pictures’ thing working so I could upload some stuff I just scanned. So I was chmoding stuff, eventually got it working. I have no idea if this is connected, but it’s the only thing I was doing before….

When I got back to my dorm, I found that when you went to my blog, you’d just get a blank page. I had no idea what the problem was, I tinkered around with it, until eventually it was showing only one of my posts, and no template. I reinstalled WP, saved my database, did a whole bunch of crap, until eventually..

I have my modified template up, but it’s only showing a single post. I have no idea why it’s showing this post – it wasn’t the last post I made, it’s not even the final version of the post.

My wp-config is set up correctly, and my database seems to be entirely OK. All of my posts and comments are still on it. WP doesn’t seem to be.. getting.. the database. I’m at a loss.

Some things, like my categories, my admin password, my links, are saved. But the posts and comments aren’t, plugins got uninstalled…

Before going any further, you might want to address this error that’s appearing at the end of the post:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: time_of_day() in /home/whitema/public_html/wp-content/themes/Manji/index.php on line 4

    Then see if more appears……

Was just a matter of enabling the plug-in again. Still only showing a single (incorrect) post, however.

    For posterity:

It turns out that, somehow, I ended up having two “blogs” in my single database. When I had reinstalled WP, it created new tables in my database, instead of overwriting over my old ones. So it was reading the “WP_” tables. My old posts were under a different prefix. The odd this is, however, that before this whole mess happened, my prefix was wp. How it changed, have no idea. But it’s working again, praise the lord =P
