I noticed that wpdatatables creates table without the regular database wp_ prefix is this correct and as intended or a fault with my installation of the plugin?

    Hello there.

    Sorry for the late response.

Tables in Lite version of the plugin are not stored in the database, but if you acquire the full version of the plugin, manual and imported tables will be stored in wp_wpdatatable_# format; # being the table’s database ID.

    Kind regards.

I do have the full version and it stored its tables using no prefix under ‘wpdatatables_#’ which I thought was very odd. It’s worth noting that my actual prefix is wpD. Just wanted to let you guys know.
