    Hi,

First, let me thank you for this great theme.

I’m currently using the free version (1.58) and was considering purchasing it, even if It already does all I expect.

Nevertheless, a major issue already happened twice. As I had to restore the DB , it appeared that all theme settings were restored to default, even if everything seemed to still be in the DB.

Second time it occured was when I changed hosting domain and obviously had to reload the DB. Exactly the same issue.

How can this happen ? How to prevent it ? Both times I had to manually re-set all options including the sections content.

Thanks in advance for your help and support

    Hi Frederic,

Database never gets deleted or restored unless restore defaults is being pressed.

Also we use options framework so in wp-options table of the database it gets saved as options_framework_skt-white

And all settings of theme options are saved there.

So once you move domain make sure you move that table of wp-options along with it.

Do consider purchasing Pro version as support is better and options are more.

Thanks for your reply, but I knew all of those points.

What I’m mentionning is that when for other reasons, not related to the theme, I had to restore database, all theme settings were lost despite the fact that the table wp-option was there.

It seems that as soon as any action is performed on the DB itself (via phpmyadmin for example), SKT-White is reseted to default even if all records are still in the DB !!!

Therefore, I cannot consider purchasing this theme as long as I don’t understand why this happens…

    Thanks for your support

We don’t think that’s true at all. Because we have successfully moved themes for many customers and doing any DB operation has no impact on the optionsframework table in wp-options

    Its okay about not purchasing.

Actually this happened to me no later than yesterday night. Manually changing domain name in a DB dump before reloading it to the new hosting server, and all settings were losts…

It also happen when I tried to modify a single sentence in the optionframework directly with phpmyadmin…
