Database issue preventing image uploads

I moved my blog to a different database last weekend because the old one had been messed up by a plugin and now I can not upload images to my posts.

The image chooser will open and let me choose a picture from my computer, and it says it is crunching the image. Then it opens up the editing screen for changing information on the post, with all of the information on the window being correct for the image, including the URL it is supposed to be at. But no thumbnail shows on that screen, and there is actually nothing in the upload directory.

The old images still show in the posts that had them, but nothing is uploading where it is supposed to.
