Database growing
-
Hi!
If I make a backup from my webpage the database grows up very fast and it′s not possible to make a backup: If I look to my MYSQL Tables there are two tables which grows up: Table tin0_actionscheduler_actions grows to 2.1 GB and tin0_actionscheduler_logs grows to 800 MB! Is a plugin a reason for this or is this a hack. How can I delete the content of the tables? Or which possibilities are available. Set back to the last valid backup. Then Isolate all plugins and then make a backup and have a look what happens?
Or is this possible from a Mail Client Plugin WP Mail SMTP or WPForms Lite?

Hi @kaschwei
This should be due to a cron event that keeps on running.
I recommend you install wp control plugin.
Then go totools -> Cron Events
menu to manage cron events.
From there, you would have a view on what is causing tin0_actionscheduler_actions to grow without limit.Regards.
You can TRUNCATE actionscheduler_logs table
i.e. using PHPMyAdmin, it will set its site close to zero, it should not break anything.Sorry I have no Idea about cron Events. I know that normally you can set something in the backend of your provider. But which command should be set there. That The maximum of lines in the table of the tin0_actionscheduler_actions will not grow?
Other Advice to install wp control plugin is good, but I′m afraid to handle wrong.
You didn’t mention your domain or anything about your web host! That’s okay but I can’t take a look at things that way to try to help. I do understand you might not want anyone to know though.
So, how about if you make a database backup from your web host?
If you can’t backup the database from your web host then you’ll need some solution (like a hosting account upgrade) to get to where you can do the backup. If your host can’t handle backing up the database in the space you have available then nothing within WordPress can help.
If your webhost can’t help you then you might consider finding a freelancer dev to help you from some site such as https://jobs.wordpress.net/

Some web hosts limit database size to 1 gb. but then offer multiple databases. That may be an option for you to span multiple databases but you’ll probably need professional help with that if needed.Thank you for the answers! I think the tin0_actionscheduler_actions and tin0_actionscheduler_logs grows up every month always when I make a backup of the page!
The last valid backup was 90 MB from the Backup and now i restore and I get 700MB Database Store. So the backup-Tool maybe produces this lot of entries or something else.

Hi @kaschwei
From your reply, I can see you have many plugins installed. I believe there is one or many that is the cause of your database growing so quickly.
I still suggest you install wp-cron and view all the events being scheduled in background
Other Advice to install wp control plugin is good, but I′m afraid to handle wrong.
You don’t need to be afraid is a straight forward process. and by the way if you have encounter any problem, we are here to help you

Thanks a lot! I went to MYSQL and there are a lot of entries about WPFORMS
https://test1.h20470.server14.configcenter.info/database-entry.jpgSo maybe this can be the reason?
https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-troubleshoot-action-scheduler-issues-in-wpforms/
So you think with this procedure it works?
What′s the normally database Size of a small webpage, without problems?
https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-troubleshoot-action-scheduler-issues-in-wpforms/
So you think with this procedure it works?I had a quick look on the link. Yes, I think it provides a solution.
On a simpler note, I would suggest you just deactivate the plugin, delete it and reinstall it back -
