Database Error with Yahoo! WordPress blog

    I just signed up with Yahoo! webhosting for a WordPress blog and thought everything was going to go well. Then everything fell apart. I keep getting an error message.

    “Error Establishing A Database connection…”

    I’ve seen in previous questions that people have had this problem. The only difference is that this problem is also happening on Movable Type on Yahoo! and that Yahoo! will not respond to any of my Help emails that I’ve sent.

    I don’t know what to do and I need this blog up by the end of the week.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • If that error happens then goes away, then happens again it is entirely the fault of Yahoo.

    If it happened and has stayed that way and you really definitely did not change anything in your wp-config.php or in the web control panel, it’s still their fault.

    Email their support constantly and if necessary find a decent host ….

    Thank you. I am finding a better host…and a cheaper one. They repeatedly ignore their customers and users to the point where it’s just disgusting. They have never responded to any help ticket crap I’ve sent them. They suck like that.

    I noticed the same problem about a minute ago. Does anyone know web-hosts who actually respond to help emails?

    I got the standard plan, and they are awesome! Instant help almost, instantly.. If not on the fly, within 24 hours. They activate whatever you need when ya need it..and give notices of updates before hand….
