Database Error

  • Updated to 2.1 and this is what I see viewing my blog:

    WordPress database error: [Unknown column ‘link_count’ in ‘where clause’]
    SELECT * FROM wp_categories WHERE cat_ID > 0 AND link_count > 0 ORDER BY cat_name ASC

    Also:
    Not Found

    Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.

    Any suggestions on how to fix?

  • A look through the forums as there’s a couple hundred threads on the subject already. There are new function calls and template tags and older one’s that have been removed. You’re probably hitting that.

    switch to other themes (like the default/classic/kubrik) that comes with wordpress 2.1. This way you can determine whether it is a real db error, or it is just the theme is not updated for wordpress 2.1
