Database error.

  • I seem to be having this problem where after updating to the new version, I can no longer edit posts. Even under Advanced it says:

    WordPress database error: [Unknown column ‘user_firstname’ in ‘field list’]
    SELECT ID, user_login, user_firstname, user_lastname FROM wp_users WHERE user_level <= 10 AND user_level > 0

    How can I fix this? I don’t even remember doing anything to potentially cause this error. Please help? anyone…

  • From what version of WP were you upgrading from? And what version of WP are you trying to upgrade to?

    Also, how did you go about the upgrade, did you delete all the files (bar wp-config.php and wp-content folder) or did you overwrite the old files?
