“database does not support the source site’s character set [utf8]…”
-
Hi,
This happened in installer.php while I was migrating to from one Kinsta Site to another Kinsta Site:
I went ahead and finished installation. Back-and-frontend all seem OK.
Kinsta support confirmed they support utf8. They investigated the database I just migrated in, and found Duplicator is the only table not in utf8 of any sort:
“I think that the tables for the actual site were done ‘properly’ maybe the plugin doesn’t recognise that collation?” Kinsta’s support said.
