Database connection missing

  • Hi, I moved the database to a new server and my site went down until the connection to the new server was established. I was expecting the contend to be provided by the cache in the meanwhile, because all the content shall be cached beside some widgets in the sidebar.
    Is this normal or do I have a problem in configuration?
    How would this work in case I decide to use a CDN with wp fastest cache?

    if the cache is not deleted, the site is served via cache surely. but the cache has been deleted in my opinion.

    No, I’m sorry. I made a test right now interrupting the db connection and the site went down immediately with the message “Error establishing a database connection”.
    From your answer I understand that something is going wrong. How can I proceed to find the problem and fix it?

    WP Fastest Cache does not cause “Error establishing a database connection” problem. Your DB is down.
