The mysql server has crashed. (Probably a server config issue that caused it to crash before, corrupting your dB and starting the original issue.) Anyhow, contact your host.

    Hey @sterndata

To my surprise it got auto resolved… and my website seems to be opening now properly..

Could you suggest me a way round to take care of such issues in the future?

Backup, backup, backup. I like the plugin “backwpup” because you can set it to backup on a schedule and send the backups to Dropbox or other off-site locations.

Ok let me try this plugin currently I am using all in one wp migration.

Will backwpup help in restoring also in such cases or only takes backup & keep it aside.

It says db backup needs mysqli

If your host has a flaky MySQL server setup, the backups may come in handy. Talk to your host about mysqli.

    Hey,

    One more problem…

my website is up but none of my other urls are working Only home page is getting opened & other pages are showing below error

    Not Found

The requested URL was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Soemthing’s wrong with your .htaccess file or how the web server is processing it.. Go to SETTINGS->PERMALINKS and click “save” to reset things. Sometimes that helps. If not, contact your host.

You are a gem @sterndata and a god for now at this point of time. I just saved the permalink settings and it just started working like a flash…

god what’s happening with my website..

I could also observe few tables which are extra in my database which is in use which were not present earlier.

One last help. Now my website is Okay but somehow the wordpress dashboard has become very slow.

Can I try optimizing the db from phpmyadmin? Will this help? or should I contact my hosting company for this?

I hope the data will not be disturbed if at all I am doing an optimize from phpmyadmin

    Thanks
    Shashikant

You can try optimizing; I think you’re on an underpowered hosting platform.

But just to reconfirm am I safe without loosing the data when I optimize the database?

Just wanted to check before I approach them. If optimizing doesn’t help I have no other way except to contact GoDaddy Support
