Database Connection Error

  • This is my first post, so hopefully I’m doing this right.

    I’m getting an “error establishing database connection” when I try to access my website.

    I’ve noticed this problem before, and it usually resolves itself… but this time it looks like it has been occurring for the past 3 hours.

    I’ve changed nothing on my site in the past 24 hours, no configuration changes, no new posts, nothing.

    Hoping someone has some insight on why this happens, and what I can do to resolve?

  • Get a better host. If you didn’t do anything and it is down – it happens on the host’s end. If it happens often, time to look for a better service.

    Shoot, I thought Yahoo Web Hosting was reliable??

    Actually, I just called them, and they said that since I can access my Web control panel, then the problem is on the WordPress side?

    The big Y reliable?
    Just do a search around here…

    And their support personell is completely ignorant.

    What “first time posting”? I can see well your blog and it was started back in February…
