• in Query Monitor Environment:

    Database
    Server Version	10.4.28-MariaDB
    Extension	mysqli
    Client Version	30120 (3.1.20)

    In WordPress site health info:

    Extension	mysqli
    Server version	10.4.28-MariaDB
    Client version	10.4.28-MariaDB

How come there is a difference here in the client version? 30120 vs 10.4.28 or is two different clients ?

    Found from phpinfo.php under mysqli

    Client API library version3.1.20

    Client API header version10.4.28-MariaDB

    mysqlnd

    Version mysqlnd 8.1.16

But not sure where the “error” is, query monitor or WordPress Health Check.

Just came across a site using mysqli Client API library version 3.1.20 and found this forum topic. That is a seriously old library. It needs to be updated by the web host if this is shared hosting. You need at least version 5.5.3 if you want things to work well on your site. Otherwise DB Queries are going to kill your site performance.
