  • On Shared hosting, database caching in basic mode is generally not recommended, as far as I know, because performance issues seem to be frequent in this case.

They already do some caching on their end (assuming it’s a shared host). Usually recommended to disabled database and object caching. Only servers that have Opcode (APC, X-Cache, etc.) caching work well with database and object caching.

If WordPress database is not on the same machine and Hosting Space, (VPS or Dedicated Server) splitted to multiple Cloud Servers, or is Shared, db Cache decrease performance … ??

If WordPress database is not on the same machine and Hosting Space, is located on a dedicated machine to SQL that probably does not need an additional cache.

This is valid for “Serious Hosting” …

    Very True!

For my personal opinion best choice for caching with W3 Total Cache is Disk Basic + Prime Cache method. ?? Opcode Cache is a optional value added …

W3 Total Cache Enanched Disk Cache is for very best (a lot of money) Hosting Services, and may cause problems until it will be fixed permanently.

Also add APC or X-Cache backend for the WP Object Caching is a good idea … best choice is Memcache. Read more on Tribe Object Cache plugin page …

Remember: add only Opcode Cache Backend and not W3 Total Cache database and object caching.
