    Hi all,

I need to backup my files and database before a manual upgrade but am unsure how to configure updraft to backup the database?

I’ve checked a recent scheduled backup and part of the email reads ‘Backup contains: Files only (database was not part of this particular schedule)’.

Obviously a bit of a noob, but can anyone advise me how to include my wordpress database within an updraft backup?

    Any help much appreciated!

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

Choose something other than “Manual” for the option “Database backup intervals”, and then your database will be backed up on the corresponding schedule.

    Thanks David..

That looks like it’ll do the trick. I didn’t even notice the ‘database backup’ option their doh!!

    Appreciated ??

    Hi David,
I had the same issue. Tried your suggestion on the backup intervals but no luck. The following message is displayed and no database backup occurs…

Table wp_redirection_logs has very many rows (359077) – we hope your web hosting company gives you enough resources to dump out that table in the backup (Sep 23 15:25:16)

    Hi gcoleman,

You’ve got a different issue there – but regardless, it’s always best to post a new issue, as issues that are already marked as resolved don’t always result in the plugin author getting an email. I’ve only just seen your post here by looking at the forum manually.

Solution: update to the development version – https://updraftplus.com/faqs/devversion – that has new code that deals with enormously big tables using a much quicker method.
