Included in the free version?

I have an additional related question – in the updraft plus premium settings I have the option to include any other directories inside wordpress and then to list any exclusions.
One of the exclusion defaults is mysql.sql
My question is – should I remove this exclusion in order to properly backup the sql database?

Apologies for the late reply.

UpdraftPlus backup is not in .sql filename extension. That is there in case you have other backup plugins installed on your site so it doesn’t get include in the backup.
