Database Back Up seems too small

    I used Updraftplus for the first time today.
    Installation worked without any problem.
    Backup went smooth. However. I got 5 zip-files: Uploads – Database – Themes – Others – Plugins
    Strangest of all, the DB Backup is only 165 KB while my site has a size of appr. 50 MB. Is that normal? Total size of all 5 backups is appr. 38 MB.

    That’s not an unusual backup size for a small site. To get a definitive answer, go to updraftplus.com/shop/, buy support, and then send the database file over to [email protected] so that we can inspect it. If there is in fact a UD bug causing it to be too small then you get a 100% refund.

    I also noticed that backup file, uploaded to Google drive is only 2.46MB big, where phpmyadmin says, database is 37MB

    any idea?

    Presumably the phpmyadmin figure is an uncompressed backup? UD’s database backup is compressed.

    Thank you for quick answer. It is ?? I never thought it migt get compressed from 35MB to 2.5 ??

    Now i decompressed saved file and it is 35 big ??
