I’m using a wordpress site where I have created a custom Datatable from the normal code and libraries, which has worked fine until now because of extra features. I can’t get column visibility or editing to work for the table in wordpress, only on my testing site.

I’ve downloaded this plugin to try it out but I need to know:

Can I have column visibility (show hide columns from view)
Can I connect to a database (My whole table is filled from a database table)
And Can I edit options that will update the database?

If I can get through these issues with this plugin, I would be happy to use it.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

The main thing that you mention here is “editing”. Does this refer to frontend editing of a table?
If so, I’ll have to disappoint you. This is not supported by TablePress.
Also, directly connecting your own database table is not possible, as TablePress uses its own format here (JSON encoded arrays in a “Custom Post Type” field of WordPress).

    Regards,
    Tobias
