Database Access Question

I was wondering whether your plugin can be used in a programmatical way. That is, I would like to set a default slideshow as part of a template and depending on the page, say a category archive on a WooCommerce site, would like to call related images to populate the slideshow. Can this be done in the current version? Thanks for your help.
