    Hello,

    Trying to clean my DB I see a bunch of tables used by Matomo.

    There is like dozens of those two types :

    matomo_archive_blob
    matomo_archive_numeric

    Could you explain to me what are all these tables used for ?
    Is it possible to delete those tables without problem ?
    Is it possible to avoid Matomo to create so much tables ?

    These tables are used by all the reports displayed in matomo.
    If you delete them, they may be recreated in the next archiving process.
    These tables are the way matomo is build. You need them.

    You can clean some of them by using the “Regularly delete old raw data” feature available from the menu Matomo Analytics > Reporting > Matomo Admin > Privacy > Anonymize data.

    No I don’t have another question but the amount of tables your plugin is creating in the DB and most of all the space it uses is crazy ! Your plugin represents half of the disk space used by my database. My readers’ privacy is my concern and that’s why I’m using your plugin but it shouldn’t be at this cost.
