    Hi,
Google keeps reporting data-vocabulary.org schema deprecated, I have updated to the latest Yoast, but it still does not appear to be fixed. As the error shows below.

    Cannot continue validation process
    Affected pages were found.

Any suggestions please because I am beginning to think I have done something to mess it up, however I cannot think of anything I could have done.

    Thanks, Tracy

    Hello Tracy,

    Thanks for reaching out.

The Yoast SEO uses schema.org for its structured data markup and not data-vocabulary.org. Most likely, another plugin, theme, or custom code is outputting the data-vocabulary.org schema. I recommend performing a conflict check to determine the theme or plugin outputting this outdated markup. We have steps to do this here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/

To learn more about the structured data output from the Yoast SEO for WordPress plugin, refer to this article — https://developer.yoast.com/features/schema/plugins/yoast-seo.

    Hi Maybellyne,

Thank you for the reply, however we have already run a conflict check and nothing changed. It is the same for both websites we have. The is no custom code.

It appears to be centred around breadcrumbs and Google is calling it critical

Do you have any other suggestions?

    Thanks, Tracy

    Hey Tracy,

I tried opening up your site to check the relevant code on your site, but I’m blocked by some geolocation block:

    Country Blocked
Access to this page is forbidden.

Can you please check if it’s possible to open up this temporarily and share the relevant URL with us on which Google gives you an error/warning for?

    Hey @jeroenrotty

    What country are you in?

Because of the nature of the business it can only sell in the UK hence why most of the world is blocked ??

    I can unblock you temporarily.

    Thanks Tracy

    Hey @scruffy1,

Currently browsing from The Netherlands. I tried using our VPN connection to the UK, but that didn’t work either. So please temporarily open up for NL/Belgium and let us know what page or URL this is being flagged for so we can check the code source. Thanks.

    Hey,

    OK, you are good now.

Yes the system is set to block VPNs too.

    Thanks

    Hey,

one page flagged is https://www.plantguys.co.uk/product/orange-hawkweed/ but there are many others too. All product pages.

    Thanks Tracy

    Hey,

I do see another page now which looks to be coming from WordFence:

Your access to this site has been limited by the site owner

But I didn’t try to log in, maybe this is still due to trying to reach the site previously? This is without and with the VPN.

The IP is ending on 38.216 – please check in your WordFence block list and unblock it so we can check.

    Hey,

Sorry I forget about wordfence, bad me

    Hey Tracy,

I could have a look now, thanks.

Checking the RRTT, I see that Google is mentioning:

    <li itemscope itemtype=”https://data-vocabulary.org/Breadcrumb”><span&gt;<span itemprop=”title”>Plants for bees</span></span>

Please know that this is not output from Yoast. This is most likely coming from your theme Mediacenter or a plugin – just like Mabel said earlier.

Please contact your theme developer or while doing a conflict check if you can still see this specific code in your page source when you are for instance testing with Storefront, the default WooCommerce theme.

    Hey,

    Thanks.

There is no plugin for breadcrumbs and the theme option for breadcrumbs is not selected, however, the yoast option is selected.

    Thanks, Tracy

    Hey,

    The theme developers state

‘Thank you for reaching us. I am not sure what is this data-vocabulary.org markup. Our theme does not have any specific code. The breadcrumb is generated from core WooCommerce.’

Please reach out to WooCommerce support for further insights into the error since it is not coming from the Yoast SEO plugin
