    Hi
Please could you confirm if this plugin will be GDPR-compliant ahead of the May 25 deadline?
    Thanks
    Robert

    Hi Robert,

we are working on a dedicated page where we list all the data Advanced Ads could handle. What would you need from us to make your site GDPR compliant?

    Thanks Thomas

As a website owner, I need to ensure that all the plugins I am using are compliant with GDPR

Please could you confirm this is the case, and also let me know if the Advanced Ads (and its extensions) collect any data/cookies?

    Thanks
    Robert

    Hi Robert,

a WordPress plugin cannot be compliant (this was just confirmed by the plugin repository). I agree that we shouldn’t even imply that any plugin can “guarantee legal compliance”.

What we can and will do is provide a resource with the information about collected data. So far, I can say that neither Advanced Ads nor any add-ons store user data in the database. Some add-ons use cookies with visitor information. Other integrations (which are disabled by default) send data to Analytics. I will provide the list within a week on our site and send the link around in our newsletter.

For a German company like us, there is actually not much new with the GDPR.

    Thanks Thomas
Have you been able to provide that list as yet?
Also, do the Responsive Ads or Advanced Ads plugins collect data?
    Thanks

    Hi Robert,

thanks for asking, yes, I finished. See https://wpadvancedads.com/manual/privacy-information-for-users/.

That is everything there is to know about what Advanced Ads is storing. Let me know if you are missing anything.

    Thomas
