data-nosnippet p tags

  • I can’t see any reason anyone would want to have a paragraph inside their menu picked up by search as a default meta description. so really every paragraph inside the menu should have data-nosnippet added to it. I always add it manually to the paragraphs inside the text widgets however we all know how WP likes to strip out your p tags inside wysiwyg editors, so I’d love never having to think about this and having it dynamically added to all the <p> tags in the menu

    Hi nickfmc,

    If you wanted to add it automatically you’d need to research how to do it for any standard text widget, then limit it to just the widgets within the menu (by checking which sidebar the widget belongs to).
