    Hi Peter,

A suggestion for the import in Data Explorer : Having the possibility to set some columns for each imported row of the table to constant or variable (ex. $$USER$$ or $$NOWDT$$ or “PENDING”) instead of mapping with column of the imported file.

    Thanks a lot
    Roger

    Hi Roger,

Looks to me like you can do this with default values? Or just edit your import file? To keep the import procedure simple and generic… ??

    Hope you don’t mind!

    Sorry,
    Peter

    Hi Peter,

Default value could be a solution for constant, like a field STATUS with “PENDING” as default, you’re right!
I can’t ask users to fulfil a field in the Excel file (from which they generate the CSV) with their login!
I need to set the field with the real login used ($$USER$$) to import, not a value manually set, for security reasons!
The need is to import data in a shared table by different users.

    Sorry ??

Ahhh yes, I totally missed that. ?? Sorry Robert and thanks for clarifying!

I added your request to my to do list, but with low priority. There are a lot of new features coming up that are tight together. I’ll you know when it is done. ??

    Thanks,
    Peter
