I’m working on moving my site over to Google Site Kit to reduce the number of plugins I’ve got hanging around. Trying to set up Search Console, Google Analytics and AdSense, I get the following error. This happens for all 3, but I pulled this version from Search console.

No route was found matching the URL and request method.

I’ve run the Health check plugin, having only Google Site Kit active, and still get this error. Just in case it’s a browser issue, I tried in an incognito window. I can find nothing in the server logs to indicate a reason for the failure. To my knowledge the firewall isn’t blocking any of the ports required. The REST API is visible and not being blocked, and I do have other plugins being used for things like Google Ads and Analytics without issue – I’m making the switch because those plugins don’t support GA4.

Am I missing something? And, if so, can someone point me in that direction?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @quanin,

Thanks for reaching out, and sharing details of the checks you’ve been performing. From checking your site and public REST endpoints I can see various optimizations performed and some browser console errors, although nothing obvious that may be causing this error. So we can determine more on this, please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. When attempting set up from a Chrome browser incognito window once more, do you see any browser console errors on the same screen where this notice appears? If so please share any such errors.
    3. Do you see any warnings or errors when checking your Site Health status (Tools > Site Health > Status), which differs from your Site Health information requested above? Such errors may include REST endpoint references.

Once we have the above we can troubleshoot this further. This may include using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin to help rule out or determine any third party plugin configurations causing this error.

Actually, we can close this – my caching plugin was interfering. The Health Check and Troubleshooting plugin didn’t bypass that, which generated a false positive.
