Using the Google Site Kit Plugin, I am seeing this error message surfaced in two panels:
    Data error in Analytics
User does not have sufficient permissions for this profile.

    Dashboard:
    All Traffic:
    Data error in Analytics
User does not have sufficient permissions for this profile.

    Search Funnel:
    Impressions: is showing metadata
    Clicks: is showing metadata
    Next panel:
    Insufficient permissions in Analytics
Your Google account does not have sufficient permissions to access Analytics data, so you won’t be able to see stats from it on the Site Kit dashboard. This service was originally connected by the administrator “xxxxxxxx” — you can contact them for more information.

    Popularity panel:
    Left panel: is showing metadata
    Right panel:
    Data error in Analytics
User does not have sufficient permissions for this profile.

    Search Console: is showing metadata

    Analytics Console:
    Permissions issue accessing data
This account does not have access to the requested data.

Thanks for reaching out, hopefully we can assist. This notice can occur in situations such as another Google account having setup this Analytics account, property or account restrictions or the account or property not existing.

So we can troubleshoot your case please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately.
    2. Did you setup Site Kit yourself, and then activate the Analytics module? If so please check that the same Google account was used throughout both processes.
    3. When you access Analytics directly can you see the connected property?

    Hi James.
    1. Have provided the requested info
    2. Yes and yes. Same Google Account used for Site Kit and GA
    3. Yes. All appears to be in order

How can I share a screen capture with you to illustrate further?

Thanks for the update. You can use a server such as Imgur, Google Drive or a screen recording Chrome extension to provide any additional information.

I’ve also checked your Site Health information, many thanks for sharing. Have you tried to disconnect the Analytics module before then trying to connect once more?

    Thread Starter NBelham

    (@nbelham)

I can’t share the information in my screen capture publicly.

I will choose the Reset Site Kit link and advise

After reset and re-connect, I was prompted to for further permissions for my GA4 Property so I am now waiting for the Analytics panels to show the already collected data showing in analytics.google.com

Thanks for the update. If you’ve managed to get connected then great, once data is collected the dashboards should populate.

Note that if you’ve connected Analytics via Site Kit it would be connected to a Universal type Analytics property (not GA4). If you’re looking to implement Google Analytics 4 alongside your Universal tracking property you can find out more here.

Can you confirm that you no longer see the “User does not have sufficient permissions for this profile” notice? If you’ve setup Analytics correctly you may encounter a “Analytics data not yet available”, which is normal when Analytics is collecting data for your site.

Yes, I currently see three panels showing:
    Analytics Gathering Data
Analytics data is not yet available, please check back later.

Great, in that case everything seems connected successfully. If you happen to encounter no data after a few days let us know and we’d be happy to help.

Be sure to also share your thoughts on the plugin after testing out the product dashboards.
