    Yes, the plugin is not meant to work with caching plugin. Caching plugin caches the whole static HTML.

    If you use a caching plugin, an AJAX request is send to update the post count and because the static HTML has been cached, it will not be updated till the cache expires.

    I don’t think it is an issue with Chrome, it should work the same across all browsers. Probably if you are using Chrome as your main browser and you are logged in, some caching plugins do not cache for logged-in user.
