• Hello,

    Appreciate any help.

I run a site audit and ahref is showing a new error since I moved my host.

The error is :”double slash in URL”
    The concerned URL is: https://www.authenticfoodquest.com/wp-includes//css/dashicons.min.css?ver=1

Not sure how to fix this. I asked the new host but they are recommending a developper help.

What is the best way to remove this double slash? Which file do I need to open to do so?

Is this could be due to a change of PHP with the new host?
The site is on WordPress 5.6
    version of PHP is: 7.4.14

    Thanks, C.

Something is poorly coded. A newer PHP could bring it to light, but it was poorly coded from the start. The question is what is this something. WP core loads dashicon styles through a style loader script. It’d be a much farther ranging problem if that were at fault. The fault is likely from your theme or a plugin. Switch to a twenty* default theme and deactivate all plugins. The problem should be gone. Restore your theme and plugins one at a time until the problem recurs. The last one activated is the cause.

    Thanks for the response @bcworkz
Interesting, there has been a chance of PHP with the site migration to a new host.
The issues doesn’t seem to have any consequences so I might just ignore for now until I possibly change theme in the future.
