    Hi,

I set up the integration with ActiveCampaign and when I was testing I noticed that the checkbox fields get passed to ActiveCampaign with dashes where there should be spaces. This means that the checkbox fields in ActiveCampaign don’t update properly unless I add dashes to them. This becomes problematic when I need to send leads emails that use the checkbox fields to show them what they submitted.

Is there any way to get the checkbox fields to pass through without dashes being added where there are spaces?

  • Hi @barthur008

I’m assuming your issue is with mapping the checkbox field(s) in your forminator form to Active Campaign fields on the screen below.
And when the form is submitting you’re getting something like checkbox-option-1 in Active Campaign, instead of checkbox option 1?

If that’s the case, the Checkbox Field value that’s submitted is the second field that appears after clicking the ? arrow in Forminator here:

I just tested this by setting the second field to Option 1 Second Box and mapping it to Account Name on Active Campaign and it appeared without dashes.

If I misunderstood the issue, could you please explain again with more detail?
Also, can you please provide an export of your form by posting it to a site like PasteBin and sharing the link here.

That way other people can check it out and debug on their end.

    Hi @barthur008

Forminator is adding those dashes to options value by default as often to avoid issues that may in some cases arise if POST data has spaces. But as explained above you can just edit option values and remove those dashes (replacing them with spaces).

Unless you are using some conditional visibility on the form, it should work just fine. If it breaks conditional visibility then please note that nearest upcoming update should also fix that (spaces/uppercase characters breaking conditions).

    Best regards,
    Adam

Thanks for these helpful responses. That solved that issue. I do seem to be having one more issue with Checkboxes not passing data correctly. It appears that it passes data to ActiveCampaign as text-only rather than actually checking the boxes.

Also, let us know which checkbox fields you are testing specifically on that form, and some examples of input data that you’re testing with. ??

    Thank you,

    Hi Dimitris (@wpmudev-support6),

    Here is the export: https://pastebin.com/sbbgvNYK

I am testing all the checkbox fields and none of them are passing through correctly to ActiveCampaign. As per these images, the text from the field is passed through as text but the checkboxes in ActiveCampaign are not marked. I updated all the Checkbox Field Values to match what I have in ActiveCampaign and still no luck.

    Hi @barthur008,

To debug this issue further, I imported the form to a test website but couldn’t replicate the issue. I was able to map Forminator fields with ActiveCampaign fields without any issues.

Can you please share a screenshot of how you have Assigned fields in ActiveCampaign integration to check this issue further?

We look forward to hearing back from you.

    Kind Regards,
    Nebu John

Hi, I am having the same issue with checkboxes not translating to ActiveCampaign. Can I use this open ticket to continue the conversation or should I start a new thread? The issue is exactly as Brittni describes it, “I am testing all the checkbox fields and none of them are passing through correctly to ActiveCampaign. As per these images, the text from the field is passed through as text but the checkboxes in ActiveCampaign are not marked. I updated all the Checkbox Field Values to match what I have in ActiveCampaign and still no luck.”.

    @trevadw,

We do understand the issue sounds similar. However, it would be helpful if you could open a new ticket with us so that we could investigate this individually on your side.

    Hi @barthur008,

Thanks for the screneshot; however, could you also please share a screenshot of what all fields are assigned to the ActiveCampaign on the Forminator side as shared in the following screenshot:

    Screenshot at 16:21:10.png

The above appears when you try to integrate ActiveCampaign under the “Integrations” tab when you edit the Form.

Also, from reading the form export, it seems like you are running an older version of Forminator v 1.16.2.

The latest version of the plugin is v 1.18.1. Could you please confirm whether you are running the latest version of the plugin?

If not, please check whether it makes any difference once its upgraded to v 1.18.1 too.

Please do let us know how that goes. Looking forward to your response.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin
