My usual Dashboard page, after some months not using the blog, lacks the basic info: the left hand side bar has no access to: Posts, Comments, Appearance, and so on; there’s no “Update” buttom to new versions of WordPress.
Let me ask you for a very simple explanation: I’m not an IT guy, neither English is my mother tongue.
    Thanks!

Hi again, Jamnes, and now with good news.
I’ve re-arranged the folders, and now it’s: public_html / wp-content / themes / twentyfifteen, and the blog is back! OK, it’s different design, but at least it’s there again.
Tha dashboard is still like at the beggining. What do you reccomend me next?
    Thanks!

Do you have a Users section in your Dashboard? If not, you probably aren’t logged in as an Administrator. Do you have contact with anyone else who had access to the blog?

    Hi once more.
Everything is now working properly, but I don’t know the reason why. Following your last comment, I contacted a friend who has access to the blog with a password supossedly outdated; I mean, the one I was asked to change some months ago. The fact is that with this old password I can access the dashboard with full information.
So, does it mean that when I changed the Administrator password, the new one had no Admin privileges?
Anyway, a new theme has been applied, and this weekend (at last!) I’ll upload a new post.
James, thanks for your help and patience!

That’s probably what happened, you were logged in as one without Administrator privileges. ??
