Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Sixteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

I can’t open anything on the dashboard page at all !!
It is frozen and although it appears to be doing something in the address bar, it just stays the same, with the warnings. I can’t move away from that page.
I can’t open the Plug ins or the Themes. The whole Computer starts behaving erratically.

Ok, try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Thanks James.

Not done anything like that before but I have tried and it is still the same. I also tried doing the same procedure with the Theme.

I have been in touch with my hosting company to see if they can help with the process.

    I will let you know

Try downloading WordPress again, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.

Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

The Guru at A2 Hosting has just got back to me, he thinks that it’s the Theme !
I’m not very confident using SFTP or FTP, so he is going to look at it and get back to me.
Really appreciate your responses and I will let you know the outcome.

    Hi James,

    All sorted.

Apparently my Theme was not compatible with the version of WordPress, so A2 have sorted it out for me.

    Many thanks
