Dashboard to "view site" disconnects dashboard

  • I’m not a developer so please forgive my ignorance. I’ve always enjoyed the functionality of remaining in the edit function when I go from my dashboard to “view site.” When I view my site, there’s was always lines indicating traffic and a top panel that navigated an easy return to my dashboard.

    But now, when I go to “view site,” there’s no connection back to me dashboard. I have to manually go to my browser favorites and select …wp/admin.

    What happened?

    That sounds a little odd? When did you first notice this?

    Try deactivating all your plugins first to see if that brings that back for you. If that doesn’t work try using a bundled theme like Twenty Sixteen.
