• Hello !
    I use Baskerville on several sites for years and for few days I saw strange styles on the dashboard.
    I tried the “Safe Mode” and everything is OK if I change the theme. But in “Safe Mode” with Baskerville the issue is continuing.

    The font-weight, the links’ color, the “input” size are not as they should do.
    When I look with Firefox inspector it seems that these styles are defined from load-styles.php.
    I put screenshots on this post to show you the issue :

    Thanks for help.

    Hi @vfavrat,

    It seems like either the classic editor or block editor styles are being applied outside of the editor views, for some reason. I can’t replicate the issue on my local installation, or on the Baskerville demo site.

    Can you try reinstalling the latest version of the theme, just in case something went wrong when the site was updated to the version released last week?

    Thanks for your quick answer.
    I have just reinstalled Baskerville but nothing changes.

    When you inspect the admin, can you search for “Classic Editor styles for Baskerville” and “Block Editor Styles for Baskerville” in the source? It’ll tell me which editor styles are leaking through.

    Hello !

    I am not sure that I understand your request.
    I inspect the dashboard and I search “Baskerville”.
    I only found :
    <link rel=”stylesheet” id=”baskerville_style-css” href=”https://blog.ac-lyon.fr/wp-content/themes/baskerville/style.css?ver=2.0.1&#8243; media=”all”>
    and
    <link rel=”stylesheet” id=”baskerville_googleFonts-css” href=”//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto+Slab%3A400%2C700%7CRoboto%3A400%2C400italic%2C700%2C700italic%2C300%7CPacifico%3A400&ver=2.0.1″ media=”all”>

    But I do not think it is what you wanted to know.

    Could you tell me exactly where I can find the information you need ?

    Thanks.

    Hi @vfavrat,

    Yeah, that means that the Baskerville front-end styles are being loaded on the back-end, which they shouldn’t be. Can you try disabling all of your plugins, one at a time, and see if that resolves the issue?

    — Anders

    I have exactly the same problem.

    Just now I updated the template and I can’t believe it … I updated the browser cache, tried other browsers – the problem remains.
    I went to the forum – there is the same problem …

    Will there be a correction?

    P. S. Updated only the template, so there is nothing more to blame.

    Hi @vfavrat and @kronos1705,

    I’ve submitted version 2.0.2 of Baskerville, which should take care of this issue by adding an extra ! is_admin_() check before loading the styles. I’m not sure why it only loaded the files in the back-end on some installations, but this should take care of it either way. Let me know if it fixes the issue once you’ve installed the update.

    Hi, @anlino

    This is speed!

    Thank you for releasing the update so quickly!

    Updated the topic. There is no more problem. ??

    P. S.
    Do you accept donations? If so, tell me the amount that will not offend you. I would like to support your work. (I’ve been using the template for 5 years, but I still haven’t thanked you.)

    @kronos1705 Awesome, thanks for the confirmation!

    I do accept donations, although I don’t feel comfortable specifying a number ?? The forum rules don’t allow me to link to the donations form directly, but you can find it through my website.

    @anlino, I understand.
    Thanks for the answer.
