• I’ve noticed one of my blogs hasn’t been recording stats since 08-2008! Google Analytics, of course, is running great.

The api key is definitely in there and I have 4 other blogs all with fully functioning stats. I’ve logged into wordpress.com and it shows the blog as registered. The stats for it aren’t showing up in there either.

  • I am having the same problem. Works great on one blog, doesn’t work at all on the newest. What’s up?

Yeah I was really surprised that I wasn’t getting hits and was a bit angry at myself. Then I noticed that I was getting hits cuz I was getting comments.. so I just instaleld something else and deleleted this.

I was also having this issue. Mine stopped tracking as of the 4th.
I disabled and re-enabled today and it seems to be tracking again.
Is anyone aware of what cause this to stop tracking?

Scratch that. It only tracked for one day and is now not functioning again. Anyone else having any luck?

Heath — I had to disable the super-cache, and not the stats work.

I’m having the same problem on a blog I put up in the last month or so, its tracked a total of 0 visits, but its taken comments, its been indexed, and I’ve had it stumbled by a few people which would have generated a few hits, but the WP-stats is recording it as 0 across the board.

    The blog is at https://www.bobgregoire.com

Is it a compatibilitiy issue with other plugins perhaps?

Presently I have in the mix:
    Add Post Footer
    Add to Any: Share/Bookmark/Email Button
    Akismet
    All in One SEO Pack
    FD Feedburner Plugin
    Google Analytics
    Google Analytics for WordPress
    Google XML Sitemaps
    Permalink Redirect
    Podcasting
    WP to Twitter
    XHTML Video Embed
and just to be cute – Hello Dolly

I have not tried deactivating all of them yet, and testing one at a time, but I have deleted the Plug In and reinstalled it, and still no counting.

It “could” be that there is just no traffic coming in, but given my own visits from a totally different IP address, surly it would register something.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I’m about to start a campaign with it and I need some metric to measure it with.

WordPress Stats seems to work with 2.7.1 but when you upgrade to 2.8.4 you get a message like ” no permissions to view this page ”

In my personal opinion, these were the best stats going. I wish someone had an interest in fixing the bug. It seems to be a multi-blog issue, because if I finally uninstall and reinstall it enought to get it to work on blogs A, B, & C, it won’t work on D. when I get it to work on D, it drops one of the others. And yes, I know to click “add it to existing blogs”, but it doesn’t seem to care.

Ok, quick Update, I just compared data to my Google Analytics, and the GA shows traffic, so something is definitely wrong with WPstats.

Your post Quilldancer makes me wonder if the probelm is the wordpress.com api key maybe? I’m going to try that next.
