I have set up a menu for the Editor role that includes only the menu for a custom post type and the user profile.

However, when the user logs in, it always displays the dashboard with the massive icons for Account, Help, and Reports.

By selecting the Reports item, the user has complete write access to other things such as pages, posts, comments, etc.

When the “Dashboard” menu item is removed, the dashboard should NOT appear on login – the FIRST item in the menu should appear.

Of course, editing the “Display” tab so that Reports are not available works, but if you shut off everything, it’s an empty dashboard.

Unfortunately, there is no support for what you’re asking at this time. There is absolutely plans for this plugin that will enable you to do more of what you’re asking.

It is possible to use a plugin that modifies user role permissions to remove the editor’s ability to edit posts other than your custom post type.

    Sorry for any inconvenience.
