• My dashboard screen at ashburygardening.co.uk/wp-admin has suddenly appeared much larger than normal. First question is how to restore it to its normal size.

    At the same time, my posts now each seem to have one line of information only, with a single endless narrow column to the left. These two sudden changes must be linked.

    The site is visible as normal at ashburygardening.co.uk/blog.

    I am looking for a way to restore the situation, without losing all my posts. I don’t know if doing a Jetpack restore from Full Account Backups or File Backups would set everything up as it was before this event, or whether it would have no effect. I am reluctant to try it, because the latest backup would miss the current not yet published but draft saved post I have been working on.

    The column thing is usually due to too many visible options. Click on “screen settings” at the upper right and uncheck some column titles.

    If the screen is larger than normal, check your browser’s zoom setting:
