This is a continuation of the topic “Dashboard restricted even after disabling plugin” as it was not resolved. I have the same issue and I tried disabling / deactivating / removing the plugin but still only administrators can log in. There must be enabled traces left behind that are not being removed by the deactivation process. Please help, or ID the tables and fields that need to be removed.

  • Hi ozmatflc,

Is it possible you used another plugin like Members or something else to directly modify roles or capabilities in WordPress? I ask because this plugin doesn’t actually modify any of WordPress’ data, it just saves some plugin-specific settings that are only used by the plugin and only if it’s active.

At its base, all this plugin really does is check if the current user has a specific capability and if they don’t, redirect away from the admin.

If you have made any direct changes to roles or capabilities using another plugin that is the likely culprit for the lock-out behavior.
