• Hi! I just downloaded and installed the latest version of WP. I installed it on a different domain yesterday and it worked fine. Now, I installed it again on another domain but now with multiple blogs (using 1 DB). I got it installed ok, but my problem is that the Dashboard is not showing. What I see in the Dashboard page is only the “Latest Activity” box and not the:

    “Dashboard
Below is the latest news from the official WordPress development blog, click on a title to read the full entry.

    WordPress Development Blog…”

which I noticed it existed on the WP I installed the other day.

Is this a problem to the multiple blog setup? I think it’s working fine other than the Dashboard issue.

    Please advise.

    Thanks in advance!

    Mark

PS: Sorry for the double post.

  • When you say “multiple blogs”, are you saying that you installed WordPress MU?

If you did not install WordPress MU (with which I have zero experience), you ought not have any problems with the dashboard for each of your blogs. I host several WordPress blogs, each with a unique table prefix, in the same database and the Dashboard works for each of them.

The problem occurs on all the blogs or just the recently installed one?

Thanks for the quick response skippy.

I didn’t install WordPress MU. I just changed the table prefix in the same database. I think the blogs are fine but the Dashboard is not showing the table which supposedly contains the “latest news from the official WordPress development blog”. The “Latest Activity” box is there, but that’s just about it. ??

I think the blog is fine. I can post with no problems…only this lil Dashboard issue.

The one I installed yesterday (no multiple blog setup) was fine. The Dashboard was ok.

But the one I installed today (3 blogs), on another domain are all having the Dashboard problem. All the 3 blogs in this group are not showing the “latest news from the official WordPress development blog” table.

But the one I installed today (3 blogs), on another domain
Are they on another server? Then most likely it’s server issue/host restriction. Do search, it’s been discussed before, but as far as I know, the only solution is to ask the host to fix it.
