Latest WordPress (3.5.1 or some dev versions) has some issues after manual upgrade from old version because there are some important changes. Its difficult to say, whether the problem is with Softculous. It can happen that Softculous by default installs an older version and automatically updates it without the user’s knowledge.

It is better to install latest wordPress version manually (FTP upload method) by downloading from www.remarpro.com. As the installation is new, there is no need to think or search troubleshooting it, deleting everything and installing freshly manually will hardly take few minutes.

I appreciate the reply and thanks for the insight. Im getting a bunch of http 301 errors so i believe it is possible that this could be a result of my internet at the moment (we are having storms). I am going to do a manual install and ill reply with a status. Again, thank you so much for a reply.

Latest update: Before i got rid of the install i went through the .htaccess file and gutted the entire thing except where it says “Start wordpress” and it works just fine now.
