• None of the feeds on my dashboard are updating (wordpress news, etc). I have tried changing the version of wordpress, disabling all my plugins, refreching and clearing my cache. None of them seem to work.
Does anyone have any sugestions? I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance,

  • I have 3 blogs and 1 sandbox blog hosted on lunarpages.com. The sandbox blog has never shown the dashboard feeds since I created it a few weeks ago but the other 3 blogs appear to be working fine. All of them are on v.1.5.1.

    Just my 2cents.

Does anyone know how to test port communication?

From the document in my prior post:
    xmlrpc-beep 602/tcp XML-RPC over BEEP
    xmlrpc-beep 602/udp XML-RPC over BEEP

    Who played with svn?

My dashboard feeds (1.5.1.2) on Laughing Squid went down today. Also it looks like Test Track is having the same issue.

I don’t think it is host related. I have full support for fopen, cUrl and anything else under Sun. Yet I too found it broken when I installed my new blog, before I replaced it with the dashboard fix.

I updated to 1.5.1.2 when it first came out and not a single problem.

But today all the dashboards are down. They show the top (the ‘this is the dashboard’ statement) and the ‘Latest Activity’ sidebar.

No footer. (but footer is on all the other admin pages)

Like several others, I read the feeds there everyday. Most of them are mulitples saying the same thing but still, I like the different perspectives.

My guess would be that one of the rss feeds is broken (maybe due to invalid characters) and the magpie aggregator is breaking on it.

My dashboard info has also gone bllank for my two wordpress blogs on the same host.

It doesn’t really bother me, as I read Matt’s blog regualrly enough to keep up with “the goss” but you get the occaisional gem from the other blogs that are listed there.

I’m not all that “worried” about the dashboard – it just worries me when I log into my systems after being gone on vacation for a week and find something not working as it was before and I can’t put my finger on why it’s doing it – but I’m not hosting on any of the systems mentioned here and I’m getting the same thing – so I would say that blocking and updating is probably not the answer – something has changed and it’s causing the stream to be broken.

On the bright side, it does make the administration login faster when you go to your management pages!

As an update, all the Dashboards [WP News and the blog links below] are down on all 3 of my blogs today. I am running 1.5.1.2 on all of them. They were exhibiting varying degrees of “broken” since upgrading – now they are all the same – kaput!

Sounds like it must be something external since we all seem to be experiencing similar problems.

Is anyone here running v1.5 and having these problems or is it a problem with the code in 1.5.1 and 1.5.2?

I’m running 1.5 and have these problems – the dashboard disappeared on me yesterday. I’ve changed nothing in the config, nor updated the version of WP I’m running.

The more the merrier, it’s happening to me, too, yeeaah. ??

    Ditto here as well

All three of my blogs had the dashboard return to normal after no intervention on my part. They were restored within the last 30 minutes.

All of which, considering the various WP vers., various hosting companies, and the many complaints, the problem was related to the originator of the feeds not the local install of WP.

As if this thread needs another confirmation, the Dashboard is dead on my all of my blogs as well. I’m hosted on Site5 and I’m running WP v1.5.1.2.

If it adds anything to conversation, my RSS reader has been showing the Dev Blog feed as dead for the past week or so.
